Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a lot to offer in terms of its location being in old town Amersham, full of character and overlooking the Main Street. However, the rooms were not up to the standard I expected with a stuffy atmosphere, decor issues, and unwanted morning disturbances. The dining experience was good overall, but there were some staffing issues. The facilities met basic needs but lacked standout features.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were very spacious with good facilities like tea and coffee, but they overlooked a kitchen window where cigarette butts had been thrown, and it was very cold on entry due to the oddly placed and ineffective radiator. Getting to the rooms required navigating spiral staircases.
A stay at this hotel in Old Amersham offers a mix of positives and drawbacks. The beautiful old room with plenty of beams adds character, but the service was not perfect. The quiet village location is charming, yet some dining experiences fell short.
My partner and I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The rooms were immaculate, and my partner especially enjoyed the quick-filling bath in our suite. While the room was spacious and had everything we needed, a couple of the lamps were not working, but it didn't bother us much. The room had a lot of character, and the bathroom was excellent.
The hotel had some upsides and downsides. The rooms were smaller and not ideally located near the courtyard, but they were satisfactory overall. The service was a mix of rude behavior and standard staff interactions. The location was charming despite issues with cleanliness and staff attitude. The dining experience stood out as one of the best, with friendly and attentive staff.
